10:30 am - Children are welcome at St. Nicholas! Church School is offered for Toddler Class, Multi-Age Class and Senior Class during the 10:30 morning service from September to Pentecost. We use the "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum [website »] as a guide for our school program. Thank you for considering this very important ministry. The sign-up list for teachers is on the Manderley bulletin board; there openings for our multi-age class for November, January, February and April. We are always looking for new teachers – if you are interested, please contact Angela McCullock after the 10:30am service or through the Church Office. We will also be reading the books: Faith (a book developed by the Global Fund for Children that teaches about different faiths around the world) and One Peace: True Stories of Young Activists (a book celebrating children and youth who have worked to promote world peace). The Seasons of the Spirit curriculum co-ordinates the activities of the Sunday School program with the lectionary readings heard by those who are attending the adult service. The curriculum includes readings, prayer, discussion topics and arts and craft activities of interest to children. The material for each week is available in the parish office, and any questions can be directed to Angela McCullock. Personal contact information available on Sundays or from the Parish Office: 416-691-0449 or Email Vacation Bible Camp 2011: The Enchanted World of Narnia
A BIG thank you to everyone who helped with the Vacation Bible Camp last week. Here’s what some of the kids said about their time at St. Nick’s: “Awesome!” — “Has the day gone already?” “It’s the same story as last year: God loves you.” And finally, to Deb, our Pastoral Associate and camp director extraordinaire: “Thank you for your heart work.”
